Hi all,

The CellML API version 1.0, has been released. This release is
considered to be a stable release, and has been through a series of
release candidates to get to the current state. CellML API version 1.0
contains exactly the same code as CellML API release 1.0rc5.

The CellML API has undergone significant improvements since the previous
stable release, 0.1:
=> A number of interface changes, to resolve problems identified the
public interfaces.
=> Significant performance improvements, especially in terms of CPU usage.
=> A number of bug-fixes, some of which fix problems which could cause
the CellML API to crash.
=> Optional support for accessing the CellML API across CORBA.
=> Three new optional supplementary services:
a) The CellML Context, which allows user-interface programs to manage
the list of models which are loaded into memory, and to
interoperate with other open user interfaces.
b) The CellML Code Generation Service, which allows C code to be
generated for a model.
c) The CellML Integration Service, which allows you to run
CellML models which are systems of ordinary differential equations.

Please report any bugs you find at
http://www.cellml.org/tools/api/api_tracker, or to this list, or
directly to ak.miller at auckland.ac.nz.

You can download the source code for the CellML API 1.0 from

Best regards,
Andrew Miller
