Hi all

We are proposing sending some e-mails from the CellML tracker
(tracker.physiomeproject.org) to this list (CellML discussion). These would
be of two kinds:

1) Notifications of new tracker items related to the CellML specification.

2) Flag requests related to the CellML specification.

Any other tracker items will be manually brought to the attention of the
CellML discussion list if anyone deems it necessary.

Some issues to consider:

Advantages: The tracker is a useful way for managing issues. A natural part
of the workflow for some issues includes discussion on this list. Often
discussion only interest a small group, and the tracker allows for this.
However, members need the option of adding themselves as CC's to the tracker
items of their interest, hence the notifications.

Disadvantages: The tracker mails are often confusing to new users. Mail
from the tracker may appear to clutter this list. There may be better ways
of notifying members of new tracker items.

Please provide your feedback on which tracker notifications (if any) should
be sent.

I'd like to suggest we discuss this under the existing tracker item for it:
https://tracker.physiomeproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159

Due to the holiday season, I suggest we aim to wind up discussion of this by
14 Jan.

Regards,

Randall
