Tracker Item 332: Describe how we can create secondary specifications to
narrow
CellML

------- Additional Comments from Andrew Miller <ak.miller at auckland.ac.nz>
CellML 1.1 has the concept of a 'CellML subset' of MathML. However, this has
several problems
1) Even with the CellML Subset, the actual way in which models of various
types
are interpreted is ambiguous. For example, the CellML subset doesn't describe
exactly what types of equations can be represented.
2) The CellML Subset in CellML 1.1 is too narrow, and specific domains will
likely want to continue to expand the way models are represented. This
suggests
we need more than one CellML Subset, and they should be separated from the
main
specification.

To achieve this, we need to write the core specification in such a way as to
delegate the exact mathematical expression to a secondary specification (of
which there could be more than one, and we could add new ones as the need for
new types of mathematical models arises).
