Dear Colleagues,
COMBINE 2014 will be hosted by Keck School of Medicine of University of
Southern California in Los Angeles. The meeting will have the same format
as last year, i.e., Day 1 will be a symposium with invited speaker, and
Day 2-5 will be the main workshop. The registration is open now. Please go
to the COMBINE 2014 website (http://co.mbine.org/events/COMBINE_2014) for
more details. A few notes.
1. Registration
Day 1 symposium is free. Registration for the main workshop is $120. It
covers conference reception and dinner. Please make sure to use the
appropriate links to register.
2. Accommodations
There will be a large convention in LA during that week, so the hotels are
going to be busy and the rate will be higher than usual. A block of rooms
was reserved at a discount rate at the following two hotels. We managed to
reserve a number of rooms with discount rate for the participants of this
meeting. You need to book the rooms yourself by the end of July, or the
discount rate will expire.
3. Travel
LAX will be the main airport for both international and domestic
travelers. BUR is an alternative, especially for people travel with
southwest. It is small and easy to get in and out. There are USC discount
shuttle services from the airport to your hotel. See details on the
website.
4. Conference reception and conference dinner.
A conference reception will be held at the Radisson Hotel (one of the
hotels many of you will stay) on Aug. 18, after the symposium.
The conference dinner will be on Tuesday, Aug. 19. The place is to be
announced.
