Dear colleague,

We would like to invite you to the Workshop on Computational Models in
Biology and Medicine and the Hackathon on Integrative Pathway Modeling in
Systems Biology and Systems Medicine, taking place 4th - 7th February
(2-day conference and 3-day hackathon, with a one day overlap) in Bonn,
Germany.

The Workshop on Computational Models in Biology and Medicine will gather
international experts to discuss the state-of-the-art in the
- analysis of genomic and proteomic data
- analysis of single-cell data
- statistical modelling and machine learning
- dynamic modelling and
- related topics.

Invited speakers will deliver keynotes and tutorials. Additional
presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts, including
talks and short presentations on open problems and scientific questions. In
addition, there will be poster presentations for in depth discussions.

The Hackathon on Integrative Pathway Modelling in Systems Biology and
Systems Medicine is part of the INCOME Event Series will gather experts in
mechanistic modelling aiming to facilitate the improvement of tools and
workflows for model development and inference.

During the hackathon invited experts will provide trainings for the use of
established COMBINE standards, tools and workflows. On the webpage we
provide a preliminary list of topics, which includes a tutorial on
reproducible models. Travel grants will be given to active attendees of the
tutorial on reproducible models. The application for the participant and

The Workshop is jointly organised by the GMDS/IBS-DR working groups
"Statistical Methods in Bioinformatics" and "Mathematical Models in
Medicine and Biology”. Additional sponsoring is provided by the University
of Bonn.
The Hackathon is organised as part of the project Integrative Collaborate
Modelling, which is funded by the BMBF.
