I'm not sure that this is a good idea, especially since under most
platforms with the most common settings, the toolbar icon will be
displayed on a grey background. The convention is to always use
transparent backgrounds so that the correct colour for the platform
shines through.
Perhaps you could elaborate on why this is needed?
