Hi all,

I have written a new draft of a new specification, the CellML Umbrella
Specification 1.0.

The aim of the new draft is to define a meta-specification to which all
versions
of CellML(and possibly some other similar formats) can conform. This
meta-specification will then remain constant as new specifications come out,
and so will allow software written before the new specification to gracefully
infer that it cannot process the new document.

It will also increase the interoperability of software designed to format
CellML
Umbrella conforming formats, and will facilitate RDF processing without
needing
to understand each individual format.

The specification also establishes a registry of all conforming formats.

The draft may be found at
http://www.cellml.org/specifications/cellml_umbrella_1.0

If you have any comments, please post them to the cellml-discussion mailing
list.

Best regards,
Andrew Miller
