Subject: [cmgui-developers] Update on cvsserver and svnserver migration off
the IBM p595 system

Hi all,

== cvsserver ==
Last night I migrated the CVS server, cvsserver (cvs.bioeng.auckland.ac.nz
and svn.bioeng.auckland.ac.nz), off the IBM p595 to a new system.

One side effect of this migration is the changing of the system's SSH keys.
Because of this you might get a warning saying "REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION
HAS CHANGED!" and that there is an Offending key in known_hosts file.
eg Offending key in /people/xyz123/.ssh/known_hosts:9

There is nothing wrong here, just that the offending key needs to be removed
from known_hosts file to continue with the SSH connection.

This can done by editing the file ~/.ssh/known_hosts and deleting the line
indicated by the number at the end of the "Offending key " message. eg using
the above example delete line 9.

Another way to clear the offending key is to run ssh-keygen -R hostname.
eg ssh-keygen -R cvs.bioeng.auckland.ac.nz and/or ssh-keygen -R
svn.bioeng.auckland.ac.nz and/or ssh-keygen -R 130.216.190.149.

== svnserver ==
This server provides the svn.physiomeproject.org Subversion service.

The plan is to migrate this system this afternoon at 13:00. There will be a
outage of 30-60 minutes while this takes place.

In this case there is no external visible change to ssh keys or SSL cert.
The only real change is the Subversion version will change from 1.4.0 to
1.4.6.

Thanks for your patience, if you have any problems then please contact me.

Many thanks
Andrew Cantell
